John Blake Sansom

I grew up in the capital city of Alabama in Montgomery. I grew up with three younger brothers, so there was never a dull moment in my house hold. Hunting and Fishing is and has been my passion since I could walk. I grew up playing football and baseball. Growing up my dream was to always go to Auburn University for college. My dad is a graduate from Auburn and a diehard fan of Auburn athletics. My dad’s love for Auburn was instilled in me at an early age. However, it was not until I was eleven that I knew agriculture was my calling at Auburn University. It was my uncle’s cattle farm that instilled in me my love for agriculture. After graduating from high school, I went to work for my uncle’s site prep company in Montgomery. While working construction I learned many life lessons that have translated to all aspects of my life. After working for my uncle, I finally decided to pursue my dream of going to auburn university. I started my journey at Sothern Union Community College in Opelika AL, where I made the dean’s list my last semester there. I was accepted into Auburn University where I am pursuing a degree in poultry science.
